Kate
Moss in Full Dublin Bloom...
KATE
MOSS was in full (Leopold) Bloom on Thursday night
at the premier of Nora, the film based on James Joyce's
love for Nora Barnacle. The supermodel and former
Priory Clinic habituee was there with her boyfriend
Jess Wood and their BF Sadie Frost.
Jim
Sheridan, Mike Murphy, Joe Mulholland, Nora Owen and
Brenda Fricker meanwhile kept the glamour flag flying
for Ireland, as did actor Sean Pertwee (Irish tabloids
please note: Sean is not the dating Robbie Williams
ex-girlfriend Jackie Hamilton - he is actually married
to her. Duh!) Bono was much missed that night, not
least by Sean who told me he regards the U2 chanteuse
- sorry, singer in a very special light since he met
him one night at a party.
"I
was at a party and Bono sat beside me and asked me
how my mother was. My father (who was the star of
Doctor Who) had just died and I was sitting alone
and I had never meet Bono before. That guy has something
special."
"I
went goose-pimpely all over watching the film,"
Kate told me. Moss (Moss? Barnacle? Wood? Is it just
me!) also confessed the rumours of her moving to Ireland
to get away from the hectic lifestyle of London were
not totally true. "I do love Ireland but I'm
not moving here. I'd love to but sadly I'm not."
Kate
proved however that she was all but over her recent
hospital treatment for a kidney infection by enjoying
a few glasses of red wine (I thought they could haved
invented a new drink specially for the night: vodka
and tomatoe juice - Bloody Noras!) Her drinking buddy,
Sadie, whose family are originally from Cork, was
forced to attend the premier alone as her Oscar nominated
husband Jude Law was away on business.
"He
really wanted to come", Sadie explained "but
he's in Berlin filming."
The
real after show party was less at the Shelbourne and
more at the Clarence bar where the stars fled after
less than an hour. Hardly surprising when you consider
that when Sadie Frost asked for a glass of white wine,
she was told by a waitress there was only beer. I
would have gone to the Clarence with her, but I was
too busy practising my lines on Ms. Moss.
