Gwyneth Paltrow stars as Irish Bridesmaid...

"Wherefore art thou" was every amateur tabloid reporter's call last week for the Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow as reports of her in Ireland spread like cheap wine. Gwyneth (who won a best actress Oscar last year for Shakespeare in Love) was reported in Dublin recently?

The truth, in fact, is that Gwyneth was in Adare in County Limerick to be a bridesmaid at the secret wedding of her best friend Corrie Doyle (that's the Doyles, a well known New York auctioneering family).

Gwyneth flew into Shannon on Wednesday week with her brother for the wedding as the bride used to live with the Paltrow kids in an apartment on Fifth Avenue in New York. The wedding between London-based Corrie and her Russian financier husband took place in the famous Adare Manor on the Saturday. However, Gwyneth (who was boyfriend less) and the rest of the Doyle family stayed in the luxury Dunraven Arms Hotel near the Manor, where the Doyles had exclusively reserved the whole hotel for a pre-wedding party on the Friday night before the wedding.

The only sight Gwyneth saw of Dublin was on Sunday night when herself and her brother stayed in U2's Clarence before flying out to New York on Monday morning.
