A
new Celeb Magazine for Ireland...
The company that brought us Westlife's magazine,
Hoson, will launch Ireland's first ShowBiz,
fashion and celebrity magazine by the first week in
June. The yet unnamed publication will be a 120-page
glossy magazine with quality pictures and editorial
according to publisher Mike Hogan, who already
has titles such as Magill and In Dublin.
Hitting
the shelves every second Thursday the magazine will
cover every celebrity, social and musical events in
Ireland. With at home interviews with some of Europe's
biggest stars and in dept behind the scenes photo
shoots at some of Ireland's biggest concerts.
The well-known Irish magazine tycoon is to launch
the magazine (which is being penned as a mix between
Hello, Image magazine and Heat)
on the Irish market to head up his publishing empire
and become the new flagship of his 16 magazine empire.
Speaking to ShowBizIreland.com Hogan said,
"It will come out BI-weekly, be in full color
in 32 counties with good quality editorial and pictures.
We haven't get a name yet but we have a research team
working on it. So it is yet unnamed but it will be
a cross between Hello and Heat magazines and Image
magazine."
He continued, "We are aiming to make the magazine
a glossy, with 120 pages. I am only half way through
getting a highly trained editorial team together but
I want the first issue to be on the shelves by the
first week in June. Our first print run will be 70,000
copies and it will sell for around £2.40 covering
ShowBiz, social events fashion and celebrity interviews.
As well as shoots with well-known stars in their homes."
Mr. Hogan, however, insists the magazine is not a
rival to VIP magazine which has seen its sales
drop over the past year. "We are not competing
with anyone. This will be a new type of magazine for
Ireland. It will be more along the lines of the UK
magazines like Heat and Star. We will have a name
by next week and start work on the first issue by
the end of April."
