Jean and Cuan marry...

ShowBizIreland.com were the first to tell you they were together, the first to tell you they were moving in together. The first to tell you they were working together and the first to tell you they were going to get married (thankfully) together.

And last Thursday in Ballina they did just that.

The couple we are referring to are of course former Riverdance babe Jean Butler and designer Cuan Hanley who married in a simple (bar the Peter O'Brian wedding dress) ceremony in Ballina on Thursday.

The mystery however still remained on Saturday night when they held a massive party for all their Dublin friends in the Guinness hopstore, why did they marry in Ballina?

The answer for those tabloids who always miss the point was because Jean's grandmother (to whom she is very close) is 95 and unable to travel to far. So instead of getting her grandmother to the wedding she brought the wedding to her.
