The Corrs join Ali's Sellafield Campaign...

Irish chart-toppers The Corrs are to hold a press conference later today to campaign to Shut Sellafield.

The Sellafield nuclear fuel plant campaign is being pushed to close by Bono's wife Ali.

Ali has been trying to get the British Prime Minister Tony Blair to close the plant by bombarding him with postcards from the Irish people.

All four members of The Corrs are expected in Dublin today to launch the final drive to post the cards - which have to be in by next week.

Ali feels she can get over one million cards posted to the UK and bring the situation to the attention of the English premier.

The Corrs have just broken into the top 40 in the US charts with a single they did with Bono from U2 recently.

Word around the music industry in Ireland is that Bono himself is expected to do the final drive on the last day of postage for the cards this Friday.
