Hellraiser Harris in Potter role...

Irish actor Richard Harris is to star in the first Harry Potter film. The vetern hellraiser is to play to role of Dumbledore, Harry Potter's headmaster. The news comes as the cast of the first movie was released recently. Boy TV star Gabriel Thomson is to play the role of Harry the young wizard.

The 13 year old has already stared in a nubmer of English productions including Great Expectations. Thomson will act alongside Harris plus Dame Maggie Smith who will play Prof McGonagall, Cracker star Robbie Coltrane who will play Hagrid and Alan Rickman who will play Prof Snape.

Filming is due to start asap as the producers want to make the movie while interest in the books is still stong.
