Brendan Gleeson: Ireland's busiest Actor...

Brendan Gleeson has just finished shooting Mission Impossible 2 with Tom Cruise. But the busy Irish actor has signed up to star in two high profile movies and also looks likely to star in The Limo man. The first movie he is on is Steven Spielberg's futuristic movie 'A.I.', based on the late Stanley Kubrick's final script about a futuristic world where robots with artificial intelligence roam the planet after the polar ice-caps have melted, leaving New York underwater.

Gleeson joins Jude Law, Haley Joel Osment and Frances O'Connor in the movie.

His second major project is Martin Scorsese's period piece 'Gangs Of New York', about 19th century Irish crime gangs. Gleeson will play an Irish mercenary in the story, of political corruption during the 1840s.

He will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis and Cameron Diaz. Liam Neeson is also expected to star if he recovers from the broken pelvis he received in a motorbike accident in July.

Both films to begin filming this autumn.
