Bono: the birth of a salesman...

Is Bono trying to fund his next movie becoming a secondhand car salesman, or is he just short of a few quid? The aging rocker, who is still at his home in the South of France, sold another one of his cars before heading off on holiday.

Now, so you don't get confused: First Bono gave his 1980 classic Mercedes to charity and was bought by Pepsi for £40,000. Then he bought a new Merc for close to £200,000. Then he sold that because he didn't like the colour. He then bought a new one in brown and now he sold a £11,000 vintage Bristol 6 litre car.

Maybe Bono's trying to impress the array of Hollywood stars flocking to Ireland to make movies and holiday?

Hollywood actress Madeline Stowe arrived in Ireland last Saturday and is staying in a private house near Ardmore studious. The actress started filming on Monday on the remake of the Orson Wells classic The Magnificent Ambersons with actress Jennifer Tilly.

Melanie Griffith has confirmed that she will start filming here on the movie The Limo man at the end of September. While Julia Roberts has confirmed she will be in Ireland in October to take a holiday.

Kevin Spacey looks set to return to Ireland to film the movie Headrush in October alongside Irish actor Johnatan Ryes Myers (who is on holiday this week with his D4 girlfriend Sasha Singh) and Andrea Corr's ex-boyfriend Huey from The Fun Lovin' Criminals who will play a drug dealer, only in the movie of course.
