Slane
report: Robbie Williams is coming back...
In
the mist of 80,000 fans, 200 hundred journalists,
100 photographers, 50 radio reporters, 10 TV stations
and 3 Internet sites, only one place got the biggest
story at Slane on Sunday and that was ShowBizIreland.com.
And no, it wasn't that U2 look set to play
Slane next year everyone knows that.
Or
that Macy Gray only flew in for the day. Or
that Jon Bon Jovi flew in with his wife on
Wednesday night to stay in The Merrion Hotel
for a few days of sightseeing before his concert on
Friday.
Or that Moby checked into the John Rocha
designed hotel The Morrision, Brian Adams
checked into U2 Clarance Hotel or that Sporty
Spice Mel C booked into her regular haunt The
Merrion hotel.
No,
the biggest news out of Slane Castle was confirmation
that one of Ireland's favourite popstars, Robbie
Williams will play between one and three outdoor
shows next summer in Dublin's Landsdowne road.
Remember
where you heard it first. Sources have said that Robbie
is touring next summer and that one Landsdowne road
concert is a definite. With the possibility of up
to two more if the demand is there.
