Richard Harris: life begins at 70...

According to reports in Ireland's press the country's favourite son actor Richard Harris is due to party in Dublin on October 1 for his 70th birthday party. His pal Irish producer Noel Pearson has arranged a party in Dublin Castle for the veteran star. Tickets cost 300 a head in aid of St Jude's Trust for Homeless Children.

Dobbins restaurant (Noel's favourite eaterie) is doing the catering, and a host of stars are due in for the event, including Stephen Fry and George Michael.

Even if you can afford a ticket, you're too late ... all of the tables have been snapped up. Crikey, next thing they'll be telling us life begins at 70.
