Noel Gallagher's injuries "Chronic"...

Oasis have postponed two more shows on their sell-out US tour after doctors said Noel Gallagher's injuries are "more chronic than originally thought".

The rocker suffered heavy facial bruising, whiplash and shock in a head-on car crash while travelling in a taxi Indianapolis on Tuesday.

He has been ordered to rest for three days, forcing the band to postpone shows in Philadelphia on Friday and Boston on Saturday.

Bass player Andy Bell and keyboard player Jay Darlington were also taken to hospital after the smash.

Darlington, formerly of chart act Kula Shaker, hurt his hand, which is strapped up. Bell was also hurt.

A decision on when the Philadelphia and Boston shows can be rescheduled will be made early next week.
