McConaughey's Bovine Injection...

Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey has revealed his weird training techniques to get in shape for the Irish made Reign of Fire movie.

The hunky actor recently told the press that he wrestled cows in order to toughen up his body for dragon slaying.

"I threw my shoulders into cows on my ranch and got them into headlocks - it was fun" he said.

And how did he unwind from the rigors of shooting in the Wicklow mountains? Apparently he busked on Grafton Street with his African hand-drum!

Reign Of Fire, which opens this week, is set in London but was filmed in Ireland, sees a fire-breathing dragon and its offspring wreak havoc after they are woken from a century-long slumber.

A firefighter called Quinn, played by Christian Bale, wards off the beasts and keeps a community alive as they eke out a meager existence.

Into their midst comes a hotshot American named Van Zan (McConaughey), who says he has found a way to kill the beasts and save mankind.
