Defies Gravity in Dublin...
Northern Irish comedian Patrick Kielty filmed
his his Almost Live show in Dublin's Gravity
Bar on Wednesday night with guests Rupert Everett,
Eddie Irvine, Bertie Ahern, and Roy Keane's
Dog!!
The
show, which goes out on BBC1 at 10.35 tonight across
Britain and Ireland, was shot overlooking Dublin City
in the sophisticated surroundings of Guinness'
Store House.
Kietly,
who dates Dubliner and ex-Big Breakfast host
Amanda Byram, had a few hiccups during the
filming of the show. He had to reshoot the intro,
which sees Patrick enter the Gravity Bar via the lift,
as the doors refused to open on several occasions
(although
the crowd did find it hilarious).
Leave
it to Patrick to organise a piss-up in a brewery -
and his first guest, Rupert Everett, relished in all
of the free Guinness flowing. So much so that he stopped
filming on one occasion so he could nip off for a
pee!
The
Dublin crowd warmed to Patrick's straight forward
style of interviewing, especially when he put his
second guest Eddie Irvine on the spot regarding his
playboy reputation. Irvine tried, with tongue-in-cheek,
to insinuate past relations his Patrick's girlfriend
Amanda (who was in the audience) but nobody was buying
it. Sorry Eddie!
The
show, which also included a phone call to Bertie Ahern,
Ms Dynamite singing her new song Dy-na-mi-tee
and a sketch featuring Roy Keane's dog, was a total
blast - so catch it before you go to the pub tonight.
