Krazy Katherine's Back On The Streets...
As TV3 launched their new schedule it’s nice to see that RTE are still allocating license payers' money to home grown TV production and not just buying-in foreign shows and formats. We spotted madcap comedienne Katherine Lynch on the streets of Dublin yesterday flogging dodgy designer handbags to unsuspecting shoppers. Yup. The 'Working Girls' are back...

Hats-off to RTE for commissioning another of Katherine Lynch's hilarious mockumentary 'Working Girls.' Won't it be great to have some original programming on Irish TV where the words "glitterati" and "fashionista" aren't used in every other sentence? We can't wait.

We spotted unhinged Kat amongst the crowds shopping on Grafton Street yesterday evening, trying to flog dodgy designer handbags to unsuspecting passers-by and tourists. Of course, there was a camera crew nearby being directed by the show's producer Warren Meyler.

Katherine Lynch |
Perched outside the main entrance of Brown Thomas, Katherine's "Sheila Sheikh" character was in drastic contrast to the soave and sophisticated consumer heading through BT's hallowed doors. Perhaps she got lost on the way to Moore Street?

Katherine Lynch, Warren Meyler |
Even with Katherine's new found fame and popularity most busy shoppers failed to recognise this slightly unnerving so-in-so, many even got roped-in to the skit... Good luck to Katherine and Warren with the next installment of Working Girls - we're really looking forward it. And given that Mr. Meyler started his career here at ShowBiz Ireland HQ - it just makes it even more satisfying to see him go from strength to strength. We're welling-up here. Sniff.
