Riverdance star to marry...

The Riverdance star Jean Butler is to marry next year ShowBizIreland.com can exclusively reveal. The dancer who launched one the world’s most successful shows ever with the Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley six years ago said yes recently to her boyfriend of the past year the Irish designer Cuan Hanly.

Friends of the star told ShowBizIreland.com that the couple were overjoyed and Cuan has asked Jean to marry him at a recent wedding they attended together. “They are so happy. They have just moved in together and are planning to get married next year sometime” the source said.

Butler was the he original dance partner with Flatley when Riverdance was first shown to the world at the Eurovision song contest as an interval act five years ago.

While Flatley left the show to become a massive solo artist, Butler stayed with Riverdance before leaving to start her own show "Dancing on Dangerous Ground" which flopped earlier this year with debts of nearly three million.
