Emma
Ledden shys from sexy image...
Irish
TV beauty Emma Ledden has turned her back on
a career as a sexy model because it's so unglamorous.
The sexy 23 year old Dublin star revealed she gave
up sexy modeling after posing for a lads magazine
in a bikini. During an appearance on BBC Northern
Ireland's John Daly show, Emma said: "I've
done loads of glamour shoots - but it's not glamorous
at all."
"I
once stood in the middle of Dawson Street in a bikini
and it was far from glamorous. "Loads of presenters
do photo shoots with lads magazines but it's very
odd. "It doesn't feel very natural when you are standing
around in a men's toilet in a bikini which I did.
It's not me."
Her
bikini photographs have flooded on to a stream of
Internet sites with saucy photographs of celebrities.
But Emma insisted that a modeling career was not for
her even though the money was good. "It's not for
me - presenting is the way to go and that's what I
love doing best. "Ever since I was young I wanted
to work on television and I got my first break on
Irish TV. I knew from then this is what I wanted to
do."
Emma
became an overnight sex symbol two years ago when
she landed a top presenter role on MTV Europe.
She was picked from thousands around the UK and Ireland
who auditioned for the high-profile role. But her
biggest break came when she took over from Zoe
Ball as the presenter on Saturday morning children's
TV show Live and Kicking. But she was dropped
after ratings plummeted and she now admits that it
didn't work out for her.
"Live
and Kicking was excellent, I went from doing 10 minutes
of TV on MTV to three hours of live television. "In
the end it was a shame because it wasn't working out
for anyone. "But they gave me a chance and put me
on my feet on mainstream television which was the
chance I was waiting for."
Emma celebrates her 23rd birthday on the show and
admitted to being a mummy's girl : "I am coming home
to Dublin at Christmas to be with my friends and family,"
she said. "I am a mummy's girl at heart and I always
come home at Christmas. I live in London now but I
return home whenever I can. I will always be back
in Ireland for Christmas."
