Keith & ShowBiz Ireland's Dream Team...

Ex-Boyzone and Big Brother star Keith Duffy has appointed ShowBizIreland.com has the official website for the 2nd Dream Team/Keith Duffy All-stars charity football match.

Speaking to us last night Keith said "we will be keeping fans updated on ShowbizIreland.com on who is signing up for the big game. Already Michael Greco from Eastenders looks like a new name on the list. I'm really looking forward to it and will be keeping everyone up to date through the website."

Personalities from the world of sport and entertainment will be uniting together in the football match to raise money for Childline. The event was launched at a press reception at the Clarion Hotel.

The football match will take place at Tolka Park on Saturday 26th January 2002.

The event will be hosted by Keith Duffy who will be joined by his old Boyzone friends Stephen Gately and Mikey Graham as well as a host of stars.

Among them will be Ken Doherty (Snooker), Steve Collins, Michael Carruth and Jim Rock (boxers), Brendan O'Carroll (comedian), Eamon Dunphy (journalist / broadcaster), and Jack Lukeman (singer), to name but a few.

Alongside the Irish personalities of sport and entertainment, the match will also include personalities from television's Coronation Street and Eastenders as well as personalities from international chart-topping pop groups that will be taking part in the Childline concert at The Point the following day.

These will be taking on the might of Harchester Utd, the cast of Sky1's very popular Dream Team.

Last January saw the inaugural event take place and this was a huge success for both Childline and the teams involved.

The final score was 3-3, and the match was sold out several weeks in advance!!!

It is hoped that the forthcoming event will be just as successful (if not more!!!).
