Limerick says goodbye to Harris...

Late Irish acting legend Richard Harris was honoured over the weekend in his native Limerick when over 700 mourners turned out to pay their respects.

The service was held in the Church of the Sacred Heart were mainly family and close friends gathered to share their stories of the great man.

His 11-year old grand daughter Ella, who convinced him to play Dumbeldore in the Harry Potter films, received a huge applause from the crowd after reading a poem at the service.

Close friends Peter O'Toole and Russell Crowe sent on their tributes to Harris but could not attend the ceremony.

Their will be a Late Late Show Special tribute show to Richard Harris broadcast on RTE 1 on December 27th. Stars such as Crowe, Sean Connery, Liam Neeson, Peter O'Toole, Gabriel Byrne, and Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliff are expected to pay their respects.
