Rosanna Davidson is Miss World...

The absolutely stunning daughter of Chris De Burgh Rosanna Davidson was crowned Miss World 2003 for Ireland on Saturday night thousands of miles away from home in China.

ShowBiz Ireland has been tracking the meteoric rise of a stunning UCD student over the past year since we spotted her at an Arts Fashion Show in the RDS.

At the time we didn't even know she was the daughter of Chris De Burgh when she won the Miss Hawaiian Tropic prise at the show, although we were perplexed as to why the Lady in Red singer and his wife were in the crowd.

From there the 19 year old Dalkey resident went on to the finals of Miss Ireland in City West hotel and easily ran away with the crown.

And on Saturday night she shined brighter then the other 105 contestants to be crowned Miss World in the South China beach resort of Sanya.

Her celebrity dad, who was in the audience, and her mother looked overcome with pride as their daughter won the prise and the 82,000 euro cheque which was beamed out to over 2 billion people around the globe.
