Stars descend on Beckett night...

Some of the worlds biggest Stars descended on Dublin last night for the launch of Ireland’s Beckett film festival. Oscar winning directors Anthony Mingela and John Boorman joined Neil Jordan in Dublin castle for the launch of 19 films made by 19 different directors.

Actors who joined the party included Jeremy Irons and his wife Sinead Cusack, John Hurt and Liam Cunnignham.

Music stars The Edge form U2 and Irish pop band The Corrs joined Lisa Stansfield for a drink as the party raved on in Dublin Castle until the early hours.

Produced by John McColgan and Alan Mooney of the Gate Theatre the series will be shown on Irish TV before being sold around the world.
