Eminem may play Dublin...

RAP bad boy Eminem has been offered a huge stadium summer show in Dublin. The peroxide-blond millionaire has been approached by concert promoters to stage a massive show in Ireland, possibly at Lansdowne Road or Croke Park. The news will cause shock waves among parents who were relieved when he decided not to include an Irish date as part of his world tour.

But last night an insider confirmed: "Eminem has not decided either way yet ? but if he comes it's going to be the concert that will shock Ireland. He might even play one of the big festivals like Witnness. Promoters want him here because he is selling more albums than anyone else. He is extremely popular."

"Approaches have been made so it's really up to him now. The obvious venues are Lansdowne Road, Croke Park or one of the big outdoor festivals like Witnness. He could easily sell any of them out without any bother at all."

The rapper, also known as Slim Shady, caused a storm during his UK tour concerts last week. During his shows he pretended to take ecstasy tablets, drink vodka and cut up fans with a chainsaw. One Irish music industry insider said Eminem was in for a shock himself if he came to Ireland.

"If Eminem comes to Ireland he will be in for an unpleasant surprise. A lot of people will be protesting against it and trying to stop it happening. He offends a lot of people and there will be a number of groups lining up to protest against it and try to stop it from happening. His songs are full of anti-gay, anti-women and pro-drug taking references. Can you imagine the storm that would be caused if he decided to come and spend a few days in Dublin?"
