The Corrs cancel world tour...

Fans of the Irish Supergroup The Corrs will be disappointed to know that the Irish four piece have been forced to cancel their upcoming dates in Australia and Asia due to illness. Singer Andrea Corr has been ordered by four different ear specialists that she could not travel the long distances on an airplane due to an infection which has already forced the band to cancel a number of dates in the UK.

This also forced Andrea to travel home alone on the boat. A spokesperson for The Corrs told ShowBizIreland.com, “Andrea’s ear infection has meant that she could not fly over long distances such as to Asia or Australia where they were due to perform. So, she has to take the next month off and the band will perform again on the 16th of March in New York’s radio city.”

The spokesperson also confirmed that the band were NOT going to be able to attend this Wednesday’s Grammy Awards in LA where they have been nominated for an award.

However, good news did break for the band as Sharon Corr announced that she would marry in a church in Ireland either on June 9 or June 16th.

Sharon and her boyfriend lawyer Robert Bonner will marry in Ireland’s oldest church in the Lady of Wayside church in Kilternan just outside Dublin.
