Anastacia to play Irish Music Awards...

Ireland's hottest music event just got hotter with news that the stunning singer Anastacia is to top the bill at next month's Irish Music awards.

On top of this it was announced that Westlife, The Cranberries and Muse will perform at the 2002 Meteor Ireland Music Awards, incorporating the IRMA's. The event is due to take place on March 4, in the Point Theatre, Dublin.

All three acts have enjoyed a very successful year and are hoping that their fans will vote them to victory in the awards. A limited number of tickets to this year's event went on sale to the general public recently and immediately began selling out.

A handful of tickets are still available however, and the event is expected to sell out completely within the next few days.

Tickets can be purchased for Euro 29.50 from usual ticket outlets nation-wide.

For those not lucky enough to get their hands on tickets the show will be broadcast on RTE N2 on Wednesday, March 6, at 9pm.

The outcome of this year's Music Awards is firmly in the hands of Irish music fans who will be able to vote for their favourite acts/artists in a wide-variety of categories.

Votes can be submitted before 18th February, by sending an SMS text message with your chosen nomination and category to Meteor 085 7220000 or by logging on to www.meteor.ie or www.irma.ie.
