Last night ShowBiz Ireland ran a story relating to a rumour that Sinead O'Connor was having a personal aswell as professional relationship with Irish singer Damien Dempsey...

And guess what? The relationship is strictly professional. And how do we know we hear you say? Because Sinead told us personally.

According to the Nothing Compares to You star, "Damien and myself love each other like brother and sister, we are best of friends."

Sinead and Damien have been working together a lot recently, just last night they both recorded material for RTE Radio's John Kelly show - but in relation to Damien and Sinead being an item "nothing could be further from the truth," said Sinead.
