Blade Star Goes Country in Dublin...

Fans of Sci-fi and cinema may only recognise Kris Kristofferson as Wesley Snipes' craggy sidekick in the Blade franchise but the aging actor is in fact a country music legend...

As Abraham Whistler in Blade 1, 2, and shortly 3 Kris Kristofferson proved a massive hit with Science Fiction fans across the globe.

But what most don't realise is that Kris's first love and his reason for being in ShowBiz is in fact country music. And, despite being in many many classic movies since the 70's he is actually better known for his music then his acting.

And nowhere than Ireland is that more evident as Kris sold out his concerts in The Point Theatre over the weekend.

And with nothing more then an acoustic guitar, a harmonica and a bag full of hit songs Kris had them singing in the aisles to classics such as Me and Bobby McGee.

Watch out for Kris later this year or early next year when the last installment of Blade entitled Trinity comes to cinema screens.
