ShowBiz Ireland journo assaulted by Corr girlfriend...

The former Miss Ireland Andrea Roche, who is best known for her relationship as the girlfriend of Jim Corr from the Irish supergroup The Corrs was questioned within the past two weeks by Irish police after an attack on the Editor of ShowBizIreland.com with a glass. The incident happened on the Thursday before Christmas in the celebrity haunt Lillies Bordello nightclub in Dublin.

Miss Roche , who has had a on/off relationship with Jim Corr for the past two years, threw two drinks over the journalist before throwing a third drink plus the glass.

The impact gashed Jason O'Callaghan's head and while receiving first aid on the wound Ms Roche then attacked the journalist again by punching him in the head. This was while he was getting first aid according to one witness.

Ms Roche was asked the following day to visit Harcourt Terrace Police Station where she made a statement to police about the incident after a formal complaint was made by the journalist and ShowBizIreland.com to the police. A file is now being sent to the Department of Public prosecutions.
