Westlife's Atomic baby...

The girlfriend of Westlife's Bryan McFadden, the petit Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona was worried about bursting into tears as she confirmed she is expecting a child with the Westlife star. The singer - who secretly got engaged to her boyfriend a year ago - is expecting a baby on September 5, the day before her 21st birthday.

Asked about how she was feeling during an appearance on Channel 4's Big Breakfast on Wednesday morning, Katona told presenter Johnny Vaughan: "I'm dead emotional - so don't or I'll cry." Vaughan joked: "I'm trying to set her off."

Katona fled to hide behind the curtains as cameras pursued her in the studio. Bandmate Liz McClarnon confirmed the singer had been shedding tears of joy most days: "She's been really bad every morning.''
