Depp's Chocolat Irish Gypsy role...

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp follows in Brad Pitt's footsteps with a new movie in which he plays an Irish gypsy. Recently taken to the silver screen by the Irish actor Gabriel Byrne in the film Into The West the Irish gypsy has become trendy in Hollywood. So much that Brad Pitt took on the role of a boxing Irish gypsy in the latest Guy Ritchie film Snatch (which was only released in the US last week.)

Now with the success of Pitt, Depp has taken on the role and is set to take the role even further. In his new film Chocolat, Depp plays alongside Juliette Binoche. He plays a character called Roux who travels around France playing the guitar until he meets Binoche who he falls in love with. The couple run into trouble when she wants him to settle down.
