Gately splits with Eloy...

Irish press yesterday revealed that the former Boyzone singer Stephen Gately has split from his love Eloy de Jong after three years.

ShowBizIreland.com can however reveal that the split happened over a month ago, well before Christmas.

The 25 year old gay Dubliner returned to Dublin last month when he split with Eloy to tell his bestfriend and former Boyzone hunk Keith Duffy.

The pair spent the night out in Dublin's Renards nightclub and were later joined by Keith's wife Lisa.

Stephen told friends on the night that he and Eloy had had a fight and that he was home for Christmas. He was hoping to go back to Holland, where he lived with Eloy, after Christmas.

The couple however have not got back together and have not put their home in Holland on the market.

Stephen is due to join Keith and a number of stars for a charity football match in Dublin at the end of the month.
