Childline Gets 1 Million Bonus...

A bunch of warmhearted Irish celebrities braved the crazy weather conditions today to hand over a cheque from Tesco Ireland for 1 Million quid to the Childline Charity...

When Tesco Ireland initiated its 2004 Charity of the Year Programme few people would have thought that their dedicated 11,000 staff members could have raised over one million euro.

Well they did, in fact Tesco employees and customers raised a phenomenal €1,013,000 through events including Parachute Jumps, Fashion Shows, Cyclethons, Song Contests and Mountain Climbs.

And a number of Irish celebrities including Irish rugby captain Brian O' Driscoll, Coronation Street's Keith Duffy, You're A Star's Hazel Kaneswarren, Sharon Corr and No Frontiers TV presenter Kathryn Thomas gathered at the Fado Restaurant on Dawson Street to celebrate.
