Quigg-Mania Has Arrived...
You would think you were back in the 60s in the midst of John, Paul, George, & Ringo just stepping off a plane with the teenage girls going plain crazy. But we were at Bondi in the City last Sunday night and instead of The Beatles we had another Irish phenomenon by the name of Eoghan Quigg - and the total mania that seems to have enveloped the X Factor star...

Eoghan Quigg |
Okay, so Alexandra Burke won the X Factor and kinda blasphemed by recording Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. We forgive her. But merely winning the X Factor is NO guarantee of longer lasting success in the music industry. Just look to the nose dive careers of previous winners. We'll say no names.

Eoghan Quigg Fans |
And even though we are getting considerably more blasé toward the whole Reality TV talent show genre that's infiltrated every aspect of modern media, we were still blown away and even, dare we say it, impressed by the response young Eoghan Quigg got from his legions of fans at his short Bondi concert last Sunday night. Obsessed much.

Eoghan Quigg |
In true pop star stylee, thousands of young teenage girls had queued all day and probably all night to be first in line to see their Doire born and bred instant idol. But not they were tired-out when wee Eoghan arrived...

Eoghan Quigg |
When the spiky-haired lad turned-up at the venue, each-and-every one of those girls lost-it folks. They were screaming, they were crying, they were fainting – masses of teenage girls totally overcome by Eoghan's messiah like presence... It was Beatlemania all over again!

Eoghan Quigg |
And just to re-enforce the God-like motif, Eoghan performed for his screaming throngs from an actual pulpit above and overlooking his fanatical fans who probably couldn’t even hear him singing with the high pitched noise emanating from them. You really had to be there folks. Teenage female pop fans are nuts!

Eoghan Quigg |
All we can say, if the response Eoghan Quigg is currently getting from his target demographic, i.e. teenage girls, spreads and is repeated in the UK and further-a-field then we predict really big things from this X Factor runner up.

Eoghan Quigg Fans |
It seems everyone from Louis Walsh to Boyzone says Eoghan Quigg has what it takes to be huge in the music industry. And before Sunday night we thought that chatter was all part of the usual cliché spin we hear about every new artist. Not anymore. Now we believe them. We've been converted to Quiggmania!

Apart from all the mad teenagers at Bondi in the City on Sunday night, other guests included Eoghan's Dad Chris Quigg, Marlyn Murphy, and Nicola Jordan...
