Playboy wants The Corrs...

It's becoming a week of heartache and Playboy magazine for Irish supergroup The Corrs. The bands main songwriter and guitar player Jim Corr, the only man in the band has split with his girlfriend of the last year former Miss Ireland Andrea Roche. On top of that the three female members of the band are being head-hunted to pose in the world famous Playboy magazine.

The erotic magazine's vice president was in Dublin Monday saying that he thought if The Corrs were to pose in Playboy they could make it big in the states. Playboy vice president Jeff Cohan told reporters in Dublin on Monday, "I never heard of The Corrs before I came to Ireland. But, I've seen their posters everywhere since I arrived. If they posed for us they would definitely make it big through the back door. Aswell as that they'd be millionaires. We could release a single together with the pictures." Cohan went on to say, "It would definitely be one way of breaking into the American market."

However, the Corrs are unlikely to be interested in Cohan's offer as the band are already millionaires. The bands first single of their new album "Breathless" has gone to number one in both the UK and Austrialia already.

A spokesperson for the Corrs told ShowBiz Ireland exclusively last night they don't need Playboy magazine to make it big in the states.

"The Corrs are already big in the states and signed to Atlantic records. They have international producers such as Mutt Lang working with them. Their album will be No1 throughout the world and they have never needed Playboy so far. So, tell Playboy no thanks."
