Corrs play private house party...

The Irish Supergroup The Corrs have received £200,000 to perform at the home of Irish racing giant and businessman JP McManus. JP hired the four piece Co Dundalk band two weeks ago for an hour to perform at his family's Limerick mansion on the night of his son John's 21st birthday.

Reports in the News of the World newspaper back up the story which ShowBizIreland.com followed earlier in the week. However, when we called The Corrs Irish publicist Barry Gastor during the week after being informed about the private concert Mr Gastor refused to confirm the story. "If they did perform I don't know anything about it and normally I would handle anything like this for them. If it's true I don't know about it." Gastor said.

Anyway, according to the NOTW the party was a great success and something guests won't forget in a hurry. "It was amazing" one guest said. "We had out own private concert with the band. They were great. They played their latest single Breathless, which was just awesome and Dreams." ]

The guest went on to say, "They basically played most of their hits and blew everyone away."
