Duffy in round world challenge...

Boyzone star Keith Duffy was out in Dublin celebrating over the weekend after being signed up to present a TV round-the-world challenge. Speaking exclusively to ShowBizIreland.com at the Dublin Tomb Raider premier Keith said he was over the moon at the new challenge.

"I'm really happy. It's going to be a cross between boot camp and big brother."

The star - who took part in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year - will front The Race, in which four teams vie to be the first to go around the globe More than 30,000 people have applied to take part in the show which will air later this year on digital channel ITV2.

Duffy, who is carving out a career as a presenter, said he was delighted to be involved. "It's a show I'd have loved to participate in - but not this time. I'm happy to watch and follow each team over the coming weeks and look forward to sharing their amazing experiences."

He has previously presented the BBC children's show Fully Booked. The 15-week long challenge kicks off in Greenwich, London, with teams of two setting off with backpacks, a map of the world and a handful of cash. Along the way they will be set tasks to earn extra money but will have restrictions on how much air travel they can do and will be forced to live on their wits to win a cash prize.

Camera crews will track them as they go through 13 cities and across five continents for 15 hour-long programs.
