Denis Leary Fights Fire in Ireland...

Hollywood actor and comedian Denis Leary was in Ireland this week to visit the homes of his parents in Killarney and launch a campaign for Dublin Fire Brigade.

The star who has already raised $750,000 for the Leary Firefighters Foundations said "one of things common to all fire departments is lack of money. Every department has trouble finding money for training facilities and keeping them up to date. We are just doing as much as we can to help out."

And did he ever think about becoming a fireman himself?

"My cousin was a mad man for it. There were cops in my family and a lot of people who grew up to become cops or firemen. But, I always wanted to be on stage, when I discovered I wouldn't be in ice hockey."

The star comes to Ireland every year but says it's the pub that he loves about it so much. "The last time I was here it was great , half the time you're in the pub waiting for the rain to stop."
