Duffy
& Quinn Support Autism...
Ex Boyzone star Keith Duffy flew to
Manchester this morning for his first set of rehearsals
for Coronation Street, which he will appear
on in from September.
Before
he left himself and the Hollywood actor Aiden Quinn
took time out to announce details of the Independent
Newspapers Keith Duffy Pepsi celebrity golf classic,
which will be held on August 26th in the Citywest
Golf and country club.
The
event is in aid of Irish Autism Alliance as both stars
have children with the illness.
The
golf classic will be a one-day event with 26 teams,
each one with a celebrity.
Names
confirmed for the day include Christy O'Connor
Junior, Bryan McFadden, Joe Dolan, Stephen Gately,
Samantha Mumba and Ken Doherty already.
Speaking
to ShowBizIreland.com about the event this
week Aiden Quinn said, "People just have no idea how
desperate and how mystifying autism is for young parents
and for the kids themselves. I also know how misunderstood
the condition is and how under-funded it is. I have
a child with autism and am delighted to be able to
support it in anyway I can."
The Citywest venue is run by the former group general
manager of Doyle Hotels John Glinn, who has
also just secured the booked foe Bertie's Presidents
dinner on December 6th for the friends of Fianna Fail.
By
the way there are 1,500 guests invited by Bertie already.
