On Friday night the 'birthday party' at the Hotel de Paris in Monaco turned out to be a surprise engagement party for Michael's long-term girlfriend Lisa Murphy.

As we told you last week both Michael's and Lisa's families, as well as a large group of journalists, were flown to France for the party. But to everyone's surprise the VIP crowd instead witnessed Flatley getting down on a bended knee and offering stunning Lisa an engagement ring.

A source close to Flatley confirmed the star's elaborate plan, "Lisa and both families thought that they were there to celebrate Lisa and Michael's joint birthdays, which fall in July."
