Kenneth Branagh to bring Shakespeare into the future...

The Belfast born classical actor Kenneth Branagh is we hear toying with the idea of updating Shakespeare's Macbeth to the point where it is set sometime in the future.

Branagh, currently promoting his latest Shakespeare-based film, Love's Labour's Lost, which he has set in the 1930s, says:

"We seem to have moved forward to each period in history with each Shakespeare film we've done, so I think Macbeth will be right up-to-date.... possibly even futuristic."

He plans to begin work on the screenplay as soon as Love's Labour's Lost is launched throughout the world.
