Legal storm looming over Harris's latest movie...

Thomas Steinbeck, the son of the author who wrote the book The Pearl is upset about changes from the book as it goes into production as a movie.

The Pearl will star the Irish actor Richard Harris and is the story about an impoverished pearl diver who discovers a giant pearl.

But, Thomas Steinbeck says he is considering legal action to block distribution of the film.

His lawyers believe that attempts to spice up the script by adding steamy sex, mountain lions and sharks, are "a desecration" and would violate a clause in the contract stipulating that the producers "shall maintain the integrity and spirit of the content of the work."
