Westlife.com comes with a £250,000 price tag...

WESTLIFE may have to pay £250,000 to buy an embarrassing site that shares their name. The band fear their US fans will get the wrong idea when they dip into westlife.com - a site dedicated to country music.

Teen fans that visit the site will not find profiles or photographs of their favourite band members. Instead, they are offered the latest range of tawny guitar sounds and cowboy boots.

Recently the bands singer Mark Feehily told the Irish Mirror "Unfortunately westlife.com was in existence before even we were. The problem is that in America all the girls are mad for the web and the first name they'll type in when looking for details about us is westlife.com. Hopefully fans won't think we're a country music band."

A source closed to the band revealed it could cost more then £250,000 to buy the website name.
