Can Liz Bonnin RI:SE to the Occasion?

Our informed colleagues in The Mirror newspaper have slammed our old friend and stunning TV presenter Liz Bonnin during the week.

Liz, a former member of the flopped Irish girl band Chill, former RTE presenter, and current presenter with the UK breakfast show RI:SE is trying to follow in the steps of Irish success story Amanda Bryam by making it in the UK.

The attack by the Mirror came after our Liz emerged from the London nightclub Attica recently crying and telling doormen she was tired of being famous and getting snapped by photographers everywhere she goes.

The Mirror takes the stance that she is not famous in the first place as the show, she only started in the past few weeks, is the UK's least watched morning program with only 179,000 viewers out of a 60 million population. Apparently, if things don't get better the it will be axed by September.

In Ireland it is generally considered that Liz had done little to warrant fame apart from making small waves on the short run TV show Off the Rails and the odd MC charity ball job.

Let's hope Liz finds her feet again and learns to RISE to the occasion in the UK.
