Festival is Here...
ShowBizIreland.com joined the launch party
of The 2002 Mitchelstown Guinness Music Festival
on Tuesday night and prepped the stars for the big
weekend.
At
the party in Dublin's 4 Dame Lane venue where
music lovers, media and Ireland's movers and shakers
were out in force guzzling Guinness, feeding on festival
feasts and enjoying a live sample what's in store
for the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
The
Classic Beatles warmed up the music hungry
crowd with old Beatles favourites and up-and-coming
RnB heart-throb Luke Thomas wowed the audience
with his stunning new debut single.

2FM's Ruth Scott patiently waited for
Fifth Avenue who were whisked from the Point Depot
to 4 Dame Lane to polish off the evening with a special
performance of their hit single Sometimes When
We Touch.

a well earned break from their successful world tour,
taking in Witness, Mitchelstown, and Slane John
McIntyrne and Rory Gallagher from theREVS
chatted with Fair City's Orlaith Rafter
and Louis Walsh's right hand woman Carol
Hannah.

Kenny who is the supporting act for her performance
on Monday 5th August.
The
Mitchelstown Music Festival PRO Conor O'Callaghan
and his colleagues were evidently excited with the
line up for this, the 9th annual Mitchelstown Music
Festival where they expect 40,000 people to descend
upon Mitchelstown's New Square.
Over the years The Mitchelstown Guinness Music Festival
stage has been lit up by top Irish and International
acts, including Samantha Mumba, Boyzone
and David Kitt and Brian Kennedy.
This
year's exciting line up boasts Six, Bellefire,
Mary Black, The Revs, Fifth Avenue, Juliette Turner
and up and coming RnB artist, Luke Thomas.
Entry
to all concerts is free except for Sunday 4th August's
afternoon concert which features Six, Bellefire, Fifth
Avenue and Luke Thomas hosted by 2fm's Tony Fenton.
