Did Bono Say NO To Lisbon?
There usually isn't a single political subject that U2 frontman Bono doesn't have a vocalised and serialised opinion on. Yet, he kept his views on The Lisbon Treaty very close to his chest, until now... When we snapped him at the weekend, we reckon he was getting all subliminal on our arses...

The big-wigs in the EU aren't very happy with the Irish people. Why is that, you say? Well, we have this thing called a ‘democracy’ which allows the legitimate will of the people to create our laws and govern our Nation. And yes, we voted NO to the Lisbon Treaty, which was our democratic right... As a result, the rest of the European Union is pretty pissed off with us because we exercised our democratic right - something no other Nation in the 27 member State got the opportunity to do. Suck it up Brussels...

And as our politicians scurry around trying to play-down the will of the Irish people, many popular public faces have made their views on the Lisbon mandate known on Irish TV and in the newspapers. Strangely, there hasn't been a peep out of Bono, who we usually can’t shut-up when it comes to such matters.

That was until we spotted him leaving the ‘Town Bar and Grill’ on Friday night with his best pal Guggi... Media savvy Bono stopped and gave his trademark peace sign right under a NO TO LISBON poster. Hmmmmm...

We're not saying Bono was endorsing the placard, but come-on... Surely this wide-boy political animal wouldn't make the schoolboy mistake of posing in front of a poster he didn't agree with?
