Van Damme gets 'e' chopped...
Once-popular action star Jean-Claude Van Damme hasn't had much success at the box office lately, and now his attempt to make a new start on the Internet is also a wash. The so-called "Muscles from Brussels" was asked to resign from The Entertainment Internet Inc.'s board of directors, apparently because he had little to contribute. In a press release, TEI chairman Michael Jay Solomon says the board of the online showbiz company "will be composed of active participants only, each of whom shall provide expertise or input that serves to increase the value of the corporation."

However, Ireland's latest entertainment Internet site showbizireland.com has confirmed they will be approaching a number of well known stars as affiliates for their site but said that Van Damme may not be Irish enough for them. In other words, guys who can do the splits ain't necessarily welcome!!
