Trainspotter Escapes to Ireland...

Trainspotting star Johnny Lee Miller is to start shooting at the end of March on a new film in Ireland. The film called The Escapist will be shot in County Wicklow's Ardmore studious from March 25th with a multimillion pound budget. Miller, who was last seen in the UK comedy Love Honour and Obey, is the ex-husband of Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie.

Miller will share the Ardmore studio with the ongoing production of Disney's Reign of Fire which is currently filming and stars Matthew McConaughey and his fellow Hollywood star Christian Bale.

In the meantime one of Ireland's richest men Dermot Desmond has bought the sword from the film Braveheart for £144,000 at an auction in New York organised by the Irish actor Liam Neeson.

Other items sold at the auction in aid of UNICEF incuded the whip from Indiana Jones which sold for £62,712, the wedding dress from Runaway Bride for £13,500, Catherzine Zeta Jones's dress from Zorro for £1,355 and the light sabre from the last Star Wars movie which sold for £45,760.

Neeson raised nearly £400,000 for the charity UNICEF while Desmond says he bought the sword to bring back to the Scotland where he is a major shareholder in the Celtic football club.
