Jason Patric to walk the boards in Dublin...

Hollywood star Jason Patric is set to arrive in Ireland this Friday to tread the boards in one of Dublin's best known theatres The Gate. Patric is the famous grandson of legend Jackie Gleason and has starred in Hollywood hits such as Rush, The Lost Boys and Speed 2 with Sandra Bullock.

The couple were rumored to have had an on/off relationship. So it will be exciting to see when Patric meets up with another Hollywood star currently filming in Ireland Matthew McConaughey, Bullock's other on /off boyfriend!

Patric is to start rehearsal on Monday in the role of Orem along with Flora Montgomery (who has just stared in When Brendan met Trudy based on a Roddy Doyle novel) who plays the role of Medea.

They will star in Neil LaBute's play "Bash" which is a collection of darkly brilliant one-act plays. LaBute who is both a playwright and film director, has been hailed as a brilliant dramatic satirist.

Patric's last trip to Ireland was in the early 90's when he spent time here with his then girlfriend Julia Roberts.
