Bridget Jones to fly into Dublin for Premier...

Friday the sixth of April was confirmed last night as the date Bridget Jones herself will be in Ireland. Bridget (aka Hollywood actress Renee Zellwegger) told the film company UIP Ireland that she would definitely be in Dublin for the Premier on Friday week.

Zellwegger was last seen in the Hollywood blockbuster Me, MySelf and Irene with her now ex-boyfriend Jim Carrey. The Irish premier of the film will take place in the Savoy cinema in Dublin followed by a VIP after show party.

Zellwegger's co-star in the film English actor Hugh Grant (Four Weddings and a Funeral) has still however not confirmed that he will be attending.

A spokesperson for UIP in Dublin told ShowBizIreland.com last night "We don't know yet about Hugh Grant. But we confirmed today that Renee will definitely be in for the premier. She jumped at the chance as she has never been to Ireland before."

The romantic comedy of Bridget Jones is based on a plot about a year in the life of a British woman who works in the publishing industry.
