Stars Show Commitment to Parker...

Irish stars came out in force for acclaimed Commitments director Alan Parker for the Premiere of his latest movie The Life of David Gale starring Kevin Spacey and Laura Linney.

Alan Parker presented his latest movie The Life of David Gale at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival in the Savoy Cinema this week.

Parker has a great affiliation with Dublin having filmed Roddy Doyle's The Commitments here many moons ago.

The Corrs

Many of the original actors and singers from the cast of The Commitments, including Andrea Corr and Roddy Doyle, turned up to pay homage to the director on the night.

After introducing the movie to the VIP crowd Parker and Laura Linney slipped out for a bite of supper in U2's Clarence Hotel, but really the director wanted to catch the Arsenal V Roma football match.

The after party was held in Dublin's Viper Rooms but many of the stars followed Parker to The Clarence instead.
