return to the over-manufactured popcharts very soon
with their latest offering, which they teased us with
in HMV last Friday...

of music-lovers packed into HMV last Friday afternoon
and were treated to a live performance of songs from
the Divine Comedy's new album Absent Friends
as well as old favourites Becoming More Like Alfie
and National Express. But sadly for all Father
Ted fans they never got around to playing My
Lovely Horse!

Hannon, who sensationally sacked the other band
members last year, stuck around afterwards to meet
fans and sign CD's. Luckily
the performance went ahead, despite Hannon forgetting
his plectrum!

witty, intellectual lyrics and lavish orchestration.

home to the Gaiety, where he begins his European
tour on May 2.
