He's pretty much ignored by the media, mainly because he never plays the handsome lead, but Irish actor Brendan Gleeson has been in more big movies than probably all of our current actors put together!

The Village, Troy, Cold Mountain, Gangs of New York, A.I., Mission Impossible II, and Lake Placid are just a mere handful of his recent movies plus he's lined up for the next Harry Potter flick...

And when you remember that Brendan didn't take up acting until he was 34 he's come along way. Now he's back on Irish soil making a movie by Paul Mercer called studs.

And in the movie he makes some interesting reunions: firstly he's back working with the excellent Eamon Owens who he last worked with in The Butcher Boy and his own son Domhnaill who looks just like a-chip-off-the-old-block!

The movie Studs, which is currently filming in West Dublin, is an adaptation of Mercer's stage hit and sees Gleeson take a football team of no-hopers and turn them into Cup winners.
